| “When a person finds a caregiver such as yourself - it is a treasure to keep.” |
|
I am a 53-year-old patient and a woman/single mother. I first met you on a referral from someone at an A.D.D. convention. I had been through 2+ years of a serious depression that I could not get turned around. Prior to this I had many significant losses simultaneously happening in my life-enough to bring the strongest person down. That on top of being a chronic pain patient with A.D.D. as well, I needed help. Thank God I found you. I was already being treated for the depression but it was unsuccessful — I really thought that life would just be something to endure from then on and was just planning to keep on plugging along. I did know from the first meeting that you were different than other doctors I have met — not only extremely intelligent with an open mind but a very obvious owner of a caring heart. You really listened when I talked to you, and I could see you were going to help me with my medications until we got it just right, and that was exactly what you did. You also believed me about my chronic pain and were not dismissive about it or didn't downplay it as others in the medical field tend to do too often to chronic pain patients. You listen to each and every thing I say regardless of how small it may be, and I thank you for that. I thank you for taking time for me when you really need to be moving on in your busy schedule. I never feel hurried no matter how many patients are waiting. It is harder and harder to get good insurance but I will do anything to try and keep coverage that allows me to continue seeing you. When a person finds a caregiver such as yourself — it is a treasure to keep. I know that God does have a special place for people like you in heaven. Thank you for all you do for me and for all your other patients now — as well as the lucky ones that don't know what is in store for them when they meet you in the future. — Vicki |
